Chryseobacterium wanjuense sp. nov., isolated from greenhouse soil in Korea.
A taxonomic study was performed on strain R2A10-2(T), isolated from greenhouse soil cultivated with lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), collected in Wanju Province, Korea. The bacterial cells were Gram-negative, aerobic, short rods. The growth temperature and pH were 5-35 degrees C and 5.0-9.0, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that this isolate had 93.3-97....
متن کاملChryseobacterium taiwanense sp. nov., isolated from soil in Taiwan.
Among a large collection of Taiwanese soil isolates, a novel Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming, yellow-pigmented bacterial strain, Soil-3-27(T), was isolated from farmland soil in Wu-Feng, Taiwan. The isolate was subjected to a polyphasic study including 16S rRNA gene sequencing, DNA-DNA hybridization, fatty acid analysis and comparative phenotypic characterization. The 16S rRNA gene...
متن کاملRudaibacter terrae gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from greenhouse soil.
A novel Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium, designated 5GHs34-4(T), was isolated from greenhouse soil in Yongin, Republic of Korea. Growth occurred in the temperature range of 10-37 °C (optimum 28-30 °C) and at pH 5.0-9.0 (optimum pH 7.0). It can tolerate up to 3 % (w/v) NaCl. The strain showed 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity levels of 95.1-97.0 % with species of the genus ...
متن کاملChryseobacterium taichungense sp. nov., isolated from contaminated soil.
A bacterial strain (CC-TWGS1-8(T)) isolated from a tar-contaminated soil in Taiwan was studied in a detailed taxonomic study. The cells were Gram-negative, rod-shaped and non-spore-forming. Phylogenetic analyses using the 16S rRNA gene sequence of the strain clearly revealed an affiliation to the genus Chryseobacterium, the highest sequence similarities being to the type strain of Chryseobacter...
متن کاملChryseobacterium palustre sp. nov. and Chryseobacterium humi sp. nov., isolated from industrially contaminated sediments.
Two Gram-staining-negative bacterial strains, designated 3A10(T) and ECP37(T), were isolated from sediment samples collected from an industrially contaminated site in northern Portugal. These two organisms were rod-shaped, non-motile, aerobic, catalase- and oxidase-positive and formed yellow colonies. The predominant fatty acids were iso-C(15 : 0), anteiso-C(15 : 0), iso-C(17 : 1)omega9c and is...
